On September 30, 2021, Birch Hills Public School students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 had an opportunity to trace their hand and describe why Every Child Matters or why they matter and contribute to a mural.  High school students reflected on what reconciliation means to them and shared their ideas on an SLC created bulletin board.

We all must take the initiative to learn the truth about residential schools, reflect on how this truth continues to impact our community, and prioritize genuine acts of reconciliation that will strengthen our community for future generations.
