School Sport Week in Saskatchewan

This past week was proclaimed School Sport Week in Saskatchewan.  Sports help promote strong leadership skills, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle.  Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division thanks all those who support and participate in extra-curricular activities in and around our division.

October 4, 2021 Board Meeting Highlights

1. Board Welcomes New Student Trustees Several years ago, Saskatchewan Rivers was the first School Board in the province to have official Student Trustees join the Board at every regular meeting. Every SRPSD high school selects 2-3 representatives to participate in division-wide student leadership team, and those representatives elect two students to join the Board.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation – Birch Hills Public School

On September 30, 2021, Birch Hills Public School students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 had an opportunity to trace their hand and describe why Every Child Matters or why they matter and contribute to a mural.  High school students reflected on what reconciliation means to them and shared their ideas on an SLC created bulletin
