SRPSD supports National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

SRPSD supports National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Orange Shirt Day held September 30

Schools across the division participated in various lessons throughout the week of September 26^th-30^th focusing on land, treaties, residential schools, as well as smudging, creating collaborative pieces and going on walks.  The learning goes beyond September 30^th in SRPSD classrooms as teachers focus on embedding Indigenous ways of knowing and traditional Indigenous teachings in their practice.
