On November 2, 2022, SRPSD celebrated the return of an in-person art show. The annual show is an opportunity to recognize the talent and hard work of our students and to honor the work of teachers, staff and parents who support student-artists in our community.
Earlier this year, students from across the division submitted approximately 300 pieces of art and the curators selected approximately 170 works for display at the show. These works of art adorn the walls of the Education Centre for the next year. At the conclusion of the art show, Awards of Excellence were presented to artists who demonstrated particularly creative, inspirational or skillful talent in their art. The jury awarded Awards of Excellence to
- Brooklyn Grimard (Prek to Grade 3 category);
- Rylee Mercredi (Grades 4 to 6 category);
- Dennae Davidson (Grades 7 to 9 category); and
- Beau Ahenakew (Grades 10-12 category).
The SRPSD Annual Art show is way to support and showcase excellence in artistic endeavors. Thank you to the staff and parents who supported the students in the pursuit of excellence and a special thanks to the artists who created the amazing works of art. We hope to see you at next year’s show!
