Here are a few events where SRPSD French Immersion students were loud and proud in showing their appreciation of French language and culture:

  • March 16th: Over 500 students and staff members gathered at Carlton Comprehensive High School for the return of our Winter Carnival. A huge MERCI to our many community partners who made this such a successful day!
  • March 21st: Over 200 students from École Arthur Pechey Public School and École Vickers Public School participated in the Tintamarre (Loud and Proud Parade) in downtown Prince Albert organized by the Société Canadienne-Française de Prince Albert (French-Canadian Society). The 1-hour concert featuring the band LGS (Le Groupe Swing) was definitely the highlight of the day!
  • March 29th: Students travelled to Saskatoon to participate in Francofièvre, a provincial youth rally organized by l’Association Jeunesse Fransaskoise (Provincial French Youth Leadership Council).

Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division is proud of its high-quality French Immersion programs at École Arthur Pechey Public School, École  Debden Public School, École Vickers Public School and Carlton Comprehensive Public High School. Not only do our students learn the French language in class, on occasions such as those above, have the opportunity to live their French language and culture in the community.
