Canva 101

(Evening Sessions – 2 Parts)

Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division now has FREE educational accounts for students and teachers for Canva. Canva is a versatile graphic design tool that allows users to create a wide variety of visual content, from infographics and presentations to social media posts and print materials. For teachers, learning to use Canva can offer several advantages: enhanced teaching materials, improved communication, and a platform for students to create creative and engaging projects.

Learning Intentions:

Today, we will have hands-on practice with Canva. You’ll be able to explore Canva and start to develop materials and lessons to use in your classroom tomorrow!

Success Criteria:

When you leave this session, you’ll be ready to use Canva to create materials for your classroom, plan lessons for your students, and more!

This PD falls under the LOU Re: Compensation for School Division Operated Voluntary Professional Development Outside of School Hours During the School Division Calendar year

·         These are voluntary sessions; if you decide to attend these sessions, you will be compensated at your current step and class, at the time of the PD. (Half Day or Full Day) Compensation is non‑pensionable.

·         Compensation is paid out of your school’s local PD funds. Therefore, you will need approval from your PD Committee to attend.
