It was a busy month of activities in March!  We had the best time at our Winterfest doing both indoor and outdoor activities like snowshoeing, skating, snow painting, fire building, beading, and even an Escape Room!

We also were able to celebrate our French language and culture at the SRPSD Carnivale! Our French Immersion students spent the day at Carlton and were involved in activities like sleigh rides, making “la tire” in the snow, making crêpes, and enjoying poutine for lunch!

Our band and music program are led by Mrs. Lauren Lohneis and under her direction, our students performed very well at the Prince Albert Music Festival with our choir getting a provincial recommendation and several of our solo and duet performers earning scholarships. We also outfitted all of our musicians in new uniforms so they not only sound amazing but look great too!

Family engagement is crucial to student success so we hosted a K-3 Family Literacy Night which focused on both early language and math skills. Families explored all the activities in the “Countdown to Summer” and even left with games to play at home to further build language.
