The Push for Change campaign came to Wesmor Public High School, giving Wesmor, Westview and Queen Mary Public School students the opportunity to hear Joe Roberts speak.  Joe is a former homeless youth turned successful entrepreneur, who is currently pushing a shopping cart across Canada to help raise awareness about youth homelessness.  Twenty five years ago, while living on the streets in East Vancouver, Joe made a promise to “pay it forward” if he ever got off the streets. His presentation educated us on what homelessness is and is not. He taught us that we all have within us the power to make change in the world we live in. This campaign empowers youth to make change by getting involved in powerful ways by raising awareness through fundraising and social media.  Joe helped our students realize that each one of them have a 100% possibility to succeed.
