Arthur Pechey Public School celebrated literacy by inviting students and their families to a Treasure Island Family Literacy Night. Families received a treasure map when they arrived and explored the treasure of literacy through a number of fun come and go stations including Storytelling, Reader’s Theatre, Story Crafts, Family Reading Pledges and even a Ship’s Galley serving Homemade Chili and Bannock! Walking the Sight Word Plank with Pirate Meyers was one of the highlights for many. A huge thank-you goes out to all of the staff, students, and families who came out to make the night such a big success!
