| Purpose:
Understanding the Reference and Regulate (R&R) Program and Deepening our Practice: Part 1 (am): Revisiting the heart of the Reference and Regulate (R&R) approach. • What is R&R and understanding the foundation and purpose? • Who is an R&R candidate? • How does the school team begin/continue? • Overview of the stages • Practical exploration and Q&A At its core, R&R is not a program to “fix behavior” but a framework to help students develop the foundational capacities for regulation, attention, and engagement—skills that must be experienced in the context of safe relationships.
Part 2 (pm): IECs not attending in the am should plan to be here to support and learn alongside EAs Practical exploration continued. We will also: · Take a deeper look at the stages of R&R · How to track a session · Practical ideas, strategies, and problem-solving · Allow time for the school team to connect and plan
