| Overview:
The Brain Builds the Child: Neuroscience for Parents, Educators, and Communities The brain is not just where children think, it’s where they feel, learn, struggle, connect, and grow. Every behavior you see is the brain communicating what it can handle, what it needs, and what it hasn’t yet learned how to do. In this fun and interactive talk, we’ll pull back the curtain on child and adolescent development through the lens of neuroscience, exploring how stress, trauma, relationships, executive functions, and environment shape the growing brain. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of why children and adolescents act the way they do, and more importantly, how the adults around them can build capacity instead of just managing behavior. Because when we support the brain first, we don’t just change moments, we change outcomes… and we help every child become who they were wired to be.
