| Purpose:
ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop on suicide first-aid. Participants will learn to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide and will be able to create a plan for immediate safety. The focus is on building practical, life-assisting skills to help someone at risk. Our school division is committed to student safety and well-being. This internationally recognized program equips school personnel with practical skills to recognize when a student may be at risk, have caring and direct conversations about suicide, and connect students to appropriate supports.
