Last week the Birch Hills/St. Louis football team hosted the Shellbrook/Canwood team. The teams played under the lights on the Birch Hills field for the first time in Birch Hills Football history. The game was a back and forth contest of two closely match teams and the game was decided on the last play of the game. Teams lined up at the Birch Hills 4 yard line and as time ticked down to zero, Shellbrook managed to get the ball across the line to win 64 – 60. The game atmosphere and community support was fantastic, so it will be a lifelong memory for everyone involved.
