The school community at Victor Thunderchild Public High School ended our first week of classes in a good way with a visit from Theresa Thorsen and Lacey Primeau, 2 of our wonderful Indigenous Perspective Coaches/Consultants here at Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division. Theresa and Lacey shared teachings about the pipe ceremony and smudging. Staff and students enjoyed the opportunity to engage in learning outside in the sunshine. We gathered as a school in our circle to reflect, set intentions and connect as a community before the long weekend. We are so grateful for the opportunity, teachings and storytelling.
