Criminal Record Checks
It is a condition of employment, internship, and practicum, that all candidates provide a criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check. If the candidate already has a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check, it will be accepted as long as it is not more than one (1) year old. If it is more than one (1) year old, it will not be accepted. Copies of the criminal record check and vulnerable sector check are now accepted. If the original document is presented, a copy will be made for our records and the original will be returned to the candidate. You would not be able to commence employment, internship, or practicum without this. The process may take anywhere from 1 week to 6 months, therefore, if you are considering applying for employment, internship or practicum with our school division, we strongly encourage you to initiate this process well in advance.
