Over the course of their two-day workshop\, ASIST participants learn to: \n·         Understand the ways that personal and societal attitudes affect views on suicide and interventions. \n·         Provide guidance and suicide first aid to a person at risk in ways that meet their individual safety needs. \n·         Identify the key elements of an effective suicide safety plan and the actions required to implement it. \n·         Appreciate the value of improving and integrating suicide prevention resources in the community at large. \n  \nCriteria:  \nASIST is an interactive workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to improve skills and readiness to reach in and start a conversation with a person that may have thoughts of suicide. Canva is a versatile graphic design tool that allows users to create a wide variety of visual content\, from infographics and presentations to social media posts and print materials. For teachers\, learning to use Canva can offer several advantages: enhanced teaching materials\, improved communication\, and a platform for students to create creative and engaging projects. \n  \nLearning Intentions:  \nToday\, we will have hands on practice with Canva.
