Christopher Lake Public School celebrated the Hundredth Day of School

February 10, 2022, was the Hundredth Day of School.  At Christopher Lake Public School, students in Grades 1-3 immersed themselves in everything one-hundred! Counted to 100, subtracted from 100, snacks from 100 years ago, art designs using patterns of 100, and of course … everyone looked like they were 100!

French as a Second Language Education Week February 7-11 – École Vickers Public School

French Immersion students at École Vickers Public School participated in French cultural activities including making music with wooden spoons.  The grade 8s learned a new recipe and prepared traditional French crèpes.  Many classes took advantage of the mild weather and went skating or snowshoeing. Students also made Métis sash inspired bracelets.

The week of February 7th-11th was French-Second-Language Education Week in Saskatchewan.  The theme this year was “From the classroom to the stars! Dream. Act. Realize.”  “De la classe aux étoiles! Rêver. Agir. Réaliser.” It is a chance to celebrate the growing number of Saskatchewan families recognizing the value of French language education in our schools.

West Central Public School Celebrates Literacy Week

At West Central Public School, we have been focused on our Math Smart Goal for the last two years. This does not mean we have let our commitment to Literacy slide. Our teachers, with the support of our families, are consistently monitoring and challenging our students to become strong readers. During Literacy Week, we asked
