MES English
Designed particularly for kindergarten to Gr. 6, this site includes colouring sheets, stickers, flash cards, games worksheets and a language-resource room. MES-Kids at the bottom of the page leads to a few simply designed vocabulary games.
Grammar Quizzes
This site is not intended for a specific age group. It has a list of different topics and quizzes for each topic in various levels. Students can work independently, choose a quiz and be ‘corrected’ by the program.
ESL Kids
This is an excellent site that has a variety of exercises per topic. You can create your own worksheets – anything from tracing to vocabulary matching and select vocabulary from a number of different lists/categories.
English Zone
Again, this site contains various subjects for the English learner. It is broken into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced rather than elementary and secondary school.
Azar Grammar
This is an amazing website for teachers and students. You can basically print off worksheets and pages from her series of textbooks as well as fun activities. There is a lot of info for teachers – including webcasts explaining how to teach grammar. Betty Azar wrote a series of grammar books – a Red book (beginners), Black (intermediate) and Blue (advanced) that have provided the foundation for many ESL schools.
Test It Fix it!
This is an interactive website where students can ‘test’ their sentence structure and then fix it with a retest and a lesson. There are links to hundreds of ESL games that students can do on their own or with a teacher/EA.

An excellent website with lots of free material. It has Interactive actives with online scores, three levels of English are tested and it has a variety of topics such as grammar and pictures-based vocabulary.

There are some good handouts on this site, however, you must pay to join if you want the best material. Several different topics are represented.

This site is an excellent website for practicing listening and vocabulary. It has a wide range of topics and levels and includes quizzes and scripts

This website bas popular or recent movie clips. It plays the movie clips and then asks comprehension questions

First School Years
